Luke: We hung out with Nizar and his friend Ali in Casablanca for the day. It was a great way to spend my birthday.

Dave: Nizar made things really, really easy for us. Excellent fellow, and an Okie to boot.

Luke: The Hassan II mosque. It's enormous and amazingly intricate. Those little open arches you can see along the front of the building are about 30 feet high. Also, the other side of the mosque is actually built out over the sea.

Aaron: I was surprised to learn it had been completed only a few years earlier. It had the appearance of something ancient and perfectly preserved.

Luke: Downtown Casablanca -- We all went to a little café in Casablanca to share a hookah together in celebration of my birthday. It was a very pleasant fruit and herb tobacco blend.
