In Thiès, we stayed at CNEPS (Centre National d’Education Populaire et Sportive, pronounced SEH-neps), a sports training facility for Senegalese youth, which has a beautiful campus. It was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Dakar. Our friend Amadou Ndiouk is Inspecteur de la Jeunesse et des Sports at CNEPS, so they took especially good care of us. Photograph

During our stay at CNEPS, we took many of our meals in the CNEPS restaurant. They served us delicious meals and were very accommodating of the vegetarian diet that several of us followed.
