Mamadou Sow's brother Younousse joined up with us, and we all packed into a sept-places bush taxi for the ride to St.-Louis.

We had a slight change of plans upon our arrival in St.-Louis, and we had to find a different hotel. We ended up in a nice small hotel.

Here, we were joined by one of Amadou's former students, Baye, and we all ate lunch at one of the fancier restaurants in St.-Louis, right alongside the river.

In colonial times, St.-Louis was the capital of all of French West Africa. The city is still filled with old colonial architecture, and it has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
